To figure out if you qualify to end your registration, you will first need to understand your criminal history, including if you have convictions from other states and which court you were convicted in. You will need to know the exact crime you were convicted of, such as whether it is in the first, second, or third degree.

You will need to know:

  • The date when you were convicted;
  • The date probation/supervision ended;
  • The last date you were incarcerated for the conviction that triggered the duty to register, including any probation violations; and
  • The dates of any subsequent or later criminal charges, no matter the type. This includes misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, and felonies in Washington State, federal court, or in other states.

You can obtain a free copy of your criminal history from Civil Survival. You can also schedule a free consultation with a Civil Survival attorney to obtain more detailed information about your conviction.

Out of Washington State Court Records For out of state convictions, please check that state’s criminal records database. Federal convictions can be found through PACER. With national background checks, not all criminal history information will be available due to different company reporting standards. It is best to contact your former attorney and the court where the conviction took place to get the records.
