New App Connects Incarcerated People with Friends and Family Via Postcards Sent From Phones

A recent Forbes article describes how Marcus Bullock, a formerly incarcerated entrepreneur, launched a new app called Flikshop that allows people to send postcards to an incarcerated friend or family member. Bullock says he was inspired by the knowledge that getting mail in prison is like winning the lottery. He originally thought the app would be used only by friends and family, but nonprofits and even strangers have begun using Flikshop to reach those in prison who may not be receiving regular contact or support from friends or family.
