FAQS

What is this Event?

It’s a free event where an attorney reviews your case to see if you can get your fines or fees reduced or waived. If you qualify, the attorney will ask the court to lower or cancel your fines and fees. We’ll let you know what the court decides.

Who can get help?

Anyone with fines or fees from a Snohomish County Superior Court conviction might be eligible. If you were convicted of a felony, it’s likely a Superior Court conviction. Although everyone may qualify for some help, you may qualify for more help if you have a limited income. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, fill out the form and we’ll let you know.

What Fines and Fees Can Be Reduced?

Many types of fines and fees can be reduced or waived based on your income. We will request the court to waive as many fines as fees as you are eligible for under the law. However, we can’t help with restitution during this event. If you owe restitution, we’ll let you know whether you might be able to reduce it and how to do so.

How long will this take?

The form takes about 15 minutes to fill out. Expect to hear from us within a month. If eligible, the court will decide on your case(s) by September 27, 2024. We’ll contact you with the court’s decision.

Do I need to go to court?

Most people won’t need to attend a court hearing. If you do, we’ll let you know.

What do I need to do?

Fill out the form accurately. This application doesn’t guarantee help; you must be eligible.

After you submit the form, watch for an email or call from us within a month. If your contact details change, please inform us.
